Sri Sri Ramthakur started Sri Sri Satyanarayan Puja(Worship) in the house(11A,Alstreet,Kolkata) of sri Sri Kunjalal Majumder and writing the Sri Sri Satyanarayan's Pancali He gave Sri Kunjalal Majumder it when He found that the Devotees who came to Him,Prayed to Him for solving the problems-daughter's marriage,getting employment,passing the examination of children and economical development etc.The devotees of sri Sri Ramthakur got things what they wanted.So,they always prayed to him for fulfilling their desire.Sri Sri Ramthakur also thought that after His disappearance ,the devotees would get what they desired if they worshipped Sri Sri Satyanarayan.So,He started it and gave its process;as,
(i) Any devotee himself may worship citrapat (photo) of Sri Sri Satyanarayan(Sri Sri Ramthakur) offering a glass of water with a Tulshi patra(a leave of Tulshi tree) with remembering the "Nama" received from Him or His Mohanta Maharaja or Mohanta.
(ii) According to convention ,Sri Sri Satyanarayan will be worshipped by a Priest and the direction of the priest will be followed when this worship is combined.
Sri Sri Satyanarayan Puja (Worship) has been going on among the devotees since the day when Sri Sri Ramthakur started it.The Satyanarayan Puja(Worship) generally is worshipped in the Thursday but there is no bar of Sri Sri satyanarayan Puja(Worship).
